Processing Traceability™

Processing Traceability™ is the TerraForestry™ + AgriTrace™ layer that maintains a digital chain of custody as harvested agricultural material moves through sorting, grading, processing, extraction, formulation, packaging, and finished-product release.

From Harvest Lot to Finished Product

1. Raw Material Receipt

Every incoming Harvest Lot receives a digital receiving record containing:

  • Harvest Lot ID
  • Farm / Farm Block ID
  • Tree ID(s), where applicable
  • Supplier or originating plantation
  • Date and time received
  • Received quantity
  • Material type
  • Condition upon receipt
  • Receiving personnel
  • Supporting photographs and documents

Harvest Lot → Processing Intake Record

2. Sorting & Grading

Raw material can be assigned a processing classification based on the enterprise’s approved grading system:

  • Material category
  • Grade
  • Physical characteristics
  • Resin-bearing characteristics
  • Moisture status
  • Foreign-material inspection
  • Accepted / rejected quantity

Every classification remains linked to its original Harvest Lot.

3. Processing Batch Creation

Each processing operation receives a unique Processing Batch ID™.

For example:

PB-AGW-2038-042

Linked to:

Harvest Lot: TF-HL-2038-017
Raw Material: Agarwood-bearing wood
Input Quantity: Verified batch quantity
Processing Date: Recorded
Processing Method: Approved process
Operator: Authorized personnel

This creates a permanent digital connection between source material and processing output.

4. Process Event Records

TerraForestry™ / AgriTrace™ can record each major processing step:

Raw Material
↓
Sorting
↓
Size Reduction / Preparation
↓
Processing / Extraction
↓
Separation / Filtration
↓
Concentration / Refinement
↓
Quality Control
↓
Finished Batch

Each stage can capture:

  • Date/time
  • Equipment or processing line
  • Operator
  • Input quantity
  • Output quantity
  • Process parameters
  • Material losses
  • Intermediate batch number
  • QC status

5. Mass Balance & Yield

A major capability of Processing Traceability™ is digital mass-balance tracking.

For example:

Harvest Lot
→ 100 kg raw material

Processing Batch
→ 92 kg usable input
→ 8 kg processing loss

Intermediate Product
→ Recorded output

Finished Product
→ Final verified quantity

This provides a documented relationship between input, transformation, recovery, and output.

6. Batch Splitting & Consolidation

The system can preserve traceability even when batches change structure.

One-to-Many

One Harvest Lot
→ Processing Batch A
→ Processing Batch B
→ Processing Batch C

Many-to-One

Harvest Lot A

  • Harvest Lot B
  • Harvest Lot C
    → Processing Batch D

The system retains the underlying source relationships rather than losing provenance during batch consolidation.

7. Quality Control

Each processing batch can be connected to its QC record:

  • Sample ID
  • Test date
  • Test method
  • Laboratory / analyst
  • Physical specifications
  • Chemical or analytical results
  • Microbiological results where applicable
  • Conformance status
  • Certificate or laboratory report

Processing Batch → QC Record → Release Decision

8. Finished Product Traceability

The final product receives a unique Product Batch ID™.

For an agarwood value chain:

Tree ID™
↓
Harvest Lot
↓
Processing Batch
↓
Oud Oil Batch
↓
Formulation Batch
↓
Finished Product Batch
↓
Packaging / QR Code

This creates a continuous provenance pathway from plantation to customer.

Digital Chain of Custody

Processing Traceability™ answers five critical questions:

WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
Originating farm, block, and harvest lot.

WHAT WAS DONE TO IT?
Documented processing history.

HOW MUCH WAS USED?
Input/output and mass-balance records.

WHO HANDLED IT?
Authorized operators and custody transfers.

WHAT DID IT BECOME?
Intermediate and finished-product batch identity.

Processing Intelligence

Accumulated processing data can also support:

  • Yield optimization
  • Batch comparison
  • Cost analysis
  • Material-loss monitoring
  • Quality trending
  • Production planning
  • Supplier evaluation
  • Process improvement
  • Inventory management
  • ESG and sustainability reporting
