Product Provenance™ is the customer-facing layer of the AgriTrace™ architecture, connecting a finished product to its documented origin, production history, processing journey, and verified chain of custody.

Each stage can contribute verified information to the product’s digital provenance record.
1. Product Identity
Every finished product can receive a unique Product ID™ or Product Batch ID™ linked to:
- Product name
- Product category
- Product batch
- Production date
- Manufacturing location
- Quantity produced
- Packaging information
- Quality-control status
2. Origin Verification
The provenance record can identify the product’s source at the appropriate level of disclosure:
Country → Plantation → Farm → Block → Harvest Lot → Processing Batch
For products where individual-tree traceability is appropriate, the chain can extend to the Digital Tree ID™.
3. Processing History
The digital record can document the transformation of agricultural material into the final product:
- Raw material received
- Sorting and grading
- Processing method
- Extraction or distillation
- Intermediate batches
- Formulation
- Quality control
- Packaging
- Final release
This provides a documented chain of transformation, not merely a claim of origin.
4. Authenticity & Verification
A finished product can carry a QR code, NFC tag, or digital certificate that allows an authorized user to access selected provenance information.
For example:
PRODUCT IDAGRI-OO-2038-011
ORIGIN
Philippine cultivated agarwood
HARVEST LOT
TF-HL-2038-017
PROCESSING BATCH
PB-2038-042

Verified / Released
The customer-facing record can reveal only information appropriate for commercial, privacy, and regulatory purposes.
Verified Data, Not Just Marketing Claims
Product Provenance™ can distinguish between:
Recorded — Information entered into the system
Verified — Information reviewed or supported by evidence
Certified — Information covered by an applicable third-party certification
Public — Information approved for customer disclosure
This helps prevent the digital provenance system from becoming merely a marketing database.
Sustainability Story
For sustainably produced agarwood and other agroforestry products, provenance can communicate:
- Plantation origin
- Cultivation rather than undocumented wild sourcing
- Responsible production practices
- Plantation management history
- Traceable harvesting
- Resource utilization
- Processing accountability
- Sustainability initiatives
This allows sustainability claims to be supported by documented production records.
Premium Product Storytelling
For luxury oud and botanical products, provenance can become part of the product experience.
A customer scanning the product could see:
Your Oud’s Journey

↓

↓

↓

This transforms provenance into a digital product passport and storytelling experience.

AgriTrace™ Architecture
TerraForestry™ creates the plantation record.
AgriTrace™ connects the plantation record to the supply chain.
Product Provenance™ turns that chain into a verifiable product identity.
TREE → HARVEST → PROCESS → PRODUCT → CUSTOMER
